Right now I have Autolite 388's in my tractor. What's the best, at least in your opinion, plug out there to give me the hottest spark. Also recommended gap. Need all the spark I can get in this cold weather to get her to fire!! Thanks.

With more than 35 years working on farmalls I have found that Champion D18Y is a good plug for most conditions. The IGNITOR electronic ignition changeover helps starting significantly.

Thanks for the info. Can I purchase one of these replacement electronic ignition modules for my 300U?? Also just as a note, it has been converted to a 12 volt negative ground system.

Going off the top of my memory from Saturday, the gap I remember is .023. If you find some plugs that work better than Autolite, please post them. I am having a similar issue with my 300u.
