just finishing up painting the 806 and installed a new muffeler not a generic but a true IH with the IHC stamp I purchased on ebay fresh in a IH box but I can not seem to get it to quit smoking up the hood. I was wondering has anyone had this problem? I think it is going to take a new pipe from the manifold to the muffler as I have a feeling the old one is rusted and not smooth enough to seal out the smoke and fumes.
Any Ideas

Small wire wheel on a drill motor or wire brush or emery cloth should smooth the pipe enough to seal,if not any parts store sells muffler patch dab it on the pipe and clamp the muffler.

If your tractor is sheded and a weather cap is used the muffler will more than likely out last you.All kidding aside when muffler patch hardens you can take a chisle give it a wack and it will break loose.Paul
