Sounds to me like they were all bargains of the day.

At a sale here in Central Ky on Sat., 86 acres brought 440,000 plus 10% buyers premium. Had two old barns and a rough house on it. Same people buy about every farm here and sell lots for which it ends up having junk tralers come in and making a mess. Some of these trailers are probaly worth 500.00 max. People don't mow, and junk the place up then move out and leave all their trash. Happening more all the time. Their won't be much rural road frontage in farmland here in a few years here. If you are not rich you won't buy much land here. The farmers who are buying some land here have rich backers forwarding them the money for tax right off's.

Hey Jr. I know exactly what you are talking about .I have a small farm in central Illinois and allways hoped to sell out and move to S.central Ky.,Glasgow area ,where my wifes kin are and fart around with 60 or 80 ac. and raise cattle went to several sales and places like you describe are worth more than prime land in Illinois.Looked at several placesthat would have been ok except you would be looking at the back of several old trailers.

If you wanna hear about deals. My uncle sold out his farm last summer in south eastern saskachewan, about 2 hours north of Billings. I could not attend the sale and just told my other uncle to bid on his 400 gas with hyd dozer for me. I got the 400 and dozer for $750Can, $450US. He got $3000 Can. for his 1066, duals, cab. $2000 Can for his 806 chore tractor. He had 3 old IH pickups, very nice original shape, just sitting for a longtime with gummed up carbs. Sold for $200Can each and the auctioneer had to work to get this. If I knew stuff was going this cheap I would have taken time off work. Then on the other hand a neighbor had an auction shortly after and had his md, nice original go for $4000Can, US buyer.

i never watched the little tractors sale but i was back bidder on 5 of the 10 that sold, and i bought the 2 wish i had hit the 1086 again and the last 674, tractors were rough enough, the 1066 has a good motor tranny and rear, the cab is rough and it takes a while for the front pump to pick up for the steering, i am tickled with the buys we made, but now we have around 20 tractors, we keep buying and no selling
