Doug, I dont know where you are, but I saw an IH 806 diesel advertised here in the photo ads. It looked good, and was priced very reasonable. It is located somewhere in Iowa. To view the ad, click on photo ad in the left menu on this page, and then type in 806 in the search box and it will take you to the ad. It sounds like the kind of tractor that would meed your needs. I have no vested interest in that particular tractor, I just saw it and would consider it for myself if I were in the market right now.

A 930 Case is just what you need!

I vote the 856. If you went the Case route I would go with a 970 long before a 930 - just a much better tractor and maybe even cheaper then a 856.

I have an IH606 (54hp diesel). It's great, but they only made it for around 5 years. Makes some parts hard to find. Good luck shopping.

I would vote for a 756 or 856 since they tend to start a little bit better, if you can find one, especially a German diesel model.

Maybe an 806 would do what you want without much trouble.
