The 1206 came with gold trimmed TURBO stickers and a gold emblem on the side that said 1206 diesel but I have never heard of a demonstrator in that series.

I am not aware of any 1206 (06) series ever promoted with gold paint for demo, this only was done with 1456 series (826-1026-1456 intro). I worked at IH dealer from 1960 till end of IH. In this many years since tractor was built its hard to tell what has happened to it, I have seen some strange things done to tractors, we called them Bud/PBR modifications.

there were never all red or gold 1206 tractors produced. the 1965 1206 tractors had a white decal trimed in gold for the 1206. and the 1966 and 1967 tractors had a gold metal plate for the 1206 . and the turbo decals were allways trimed in gold for the farmall series. the international series had the turbo and early decaled 1206 trimed in black.
