First of all, great web site, it's on my fav list!
I bought a 1976 Cub this fall and it needs some help, starts and runs good but under a load with the belly mover it bogs and pings bad. I have changed the plugs and blades on the deck, any ideas what will give it a little more power?

Nothing runs away from the cub faster than the Deere.

Ah... but your Cub does run like a Deere! What you want is for it to run like a Farmall. Jon

Only time I saw a Deere run was when it was running away from the work.

I would suggest an owner's manual. You will find it invaluable in maintaining your tractor. It answers a lot of questions. But for starters, check your timing. Sounds like it could be off.

don,t just turn the distribitor mark all the timing marck,s and use a timing light at idel, then bring it up to full rpm,s and see if the distribitor is advancing to the proper deegrese.
