Just bought a IH plow today. Can't wait to try her out. My question is how do you guys load and unload them on your trailers? Do they back up ok? 2-16's outta make the ole "H" snort in the hard dry ground of southern WI this year. Thanks for any and all insight!

What I always do when I unload my plows is take a pair of Vise Grips along and clamp them on both sides of the tail wheel slider. This keeps the rear wheel straight. Works very well. Then you just push it off and get out of the way.

Make sure you get it shined up as much as possible before you try to use it. I usually use a wire prush on the side grinder to knock off the big rust.

Just bought a plow myself last weekend--a 2 bottom Little Wonder. Tried loading it myself (steel wheels) onto a trailer with a gate. Needless to say I don't advise loading it by yourself unless you have a winch. I managed to move it up to the trailer gate, getting it up onto the gate and onto the trailer was another story. Had to have someone come and help me with that part. The small knobs on the steel wheel get hung up pretty easy and grasp onto the ground or into the gate. Needless to say, I have been having a sore back since then. Good luck

I have hosted a Plow Day at my farm for 3 years. We unload most of the plows with a loader. No, they do not back up worth a hoot. Some guys that just haul one tractor and plow just drive it on then unhook and push the plow off by hand. That works ok for 1 and 2 bottoms. Good luck.
