I am planning on going home in a couple of weeks to see my dad. He is in Indiana...I am in Houston.
He likes to fool with old Farmalls and I found an old cub really cheap.
I did not want to pull a trailer this trip and figured I would just put it in the back of my Dodge 3/4 ton diesel.
Last night I tried to find the weight of the thing and now I am not so sure I can do it.
One book says 2765LBS, another says 1520LBS.
The lighter weight I think is ok...but what does this thing weight? Anyone know the real weight of a Cub?
Thanks,
Bill

You might want to trade the Dodge for a Chevy, LOL. just kidding, you should not have any problems at all.

Bill, for years my dad hauled Cubs in the bed of a '52 International L-112 (GVW approx. 4700 lbs), so I don't think it will strain your Dodge 3/4 diesel a bit.

Check the info here and it will help you determine the weight. Bare bones - no fluids in tires, ho hydraulics & no starter is 1300 lbs approx. Add accordingly to how the tractor is equipped.

I recently weighed my tricycle Cub. It is highly modified, but the only thing reducing the weight was removing the hydraulics. Without wheel weights, but full electrical system...1370#.

You should have no trouble hauling it. One consideration...you will have to drive it on forward so you can close the tailgate. That will put the center of gravity slightly behind the truck axle.

Thanks everyone...I am going to give it a shot. If it hits the overloads and stops I think I will be ok.
Thanks for all of the help.
