This question is open t all who will reply. I have a Farmall 200 with a 2 point system and a two bottom breaking plow and can't seem ta get the plows to engage the ground. I have tried every position on both sides of the touch control in refernce to how it attaches to the 2 point linkage and nothing seems to work very well. What am i doing wrong or am not doing at all?

mark, to add to what the others have said, do you have the rod connecting from the back side of the right hand rockshaft to the front of the fast hitch assembly? this is needed to lower the front of the hitch to aid in penetration of the plow points. i think the left hand tilt arm will help but not as much as the right hand rod. new points will also help. there may be various types of points available. there are point choices for faster penetration for newer, larger plows, not sure about yours. if the ground is rock hard,as in no rain and lots of heat, maybe you will have to wait for some rain to loosen things up.

Mark: Farmall A man is on right track, I am not right up on 200 but there is a linkage from each hydraulic rockshaft to the hitch as well as the remote cylinder, The right rockshaft controls depth. The remote cylinder lifts the plow. The other rockshaft must level the plow and if not right those items could stop penetration.

Your shares may also be worn. I don't know just how dry it is down the Mississippi but plain dry weather through summer can sometimes make it impossible to plow on some soils.

Do you have the leveling linkage that runs from the left rockshaft up and around the brake drum under the platform to the 2 pt? I believe this is needed to get her to dig in. Check your owners manual, I believe a picture is in there. Maybe post a photo of the plow.

POSSIBLE THE SHARES ARE WORN OUT? NOT ENOUGH LEFT ON THEM TO SCOUR THE EARTH. PERHAPS A NEW SET OF SHARES WOULD DO IT. JUST ME 2 CENTS WORTH. GOOD LUCK.
