Does anyone have a manual listing the torque specs for the rod bolts, mains, head, and manifolds etc for the '46 Farmall H model?
NOT an HV model

Randolph, Be careful, it depends on whether you have the original flat head pistons or if they have been up graded to the fire-crater or stepped head pistons and the rebuild kit. I have seen a higher torque spec's on the fire-crater pistons along with complete bearing kit. When I rebuilt my '46 H with fire-crater pistons this spring I put 50 ftlbs on piston rod end caps and 85 ftlbs on the main bearing caps. The Case/IH manufacturer instructions indicated 45-55 ftlbs on the piston rod caps and 80-90 ftlbs on the main bearing caps. Of course all of the above is not the same as spec's in the original "serviceman's guide" for the H.

Go to www.weberstractorworks.com. Engine in H is the same as the HV.
