Hi I have a 1946 Farmall H. It was converted to 12 volt and I would like to put it back to original. Dose this tractor have a cut-out or regulator? Also what parts will I need to change or consider changing? Where can I get an original style coil? Thanks everyone.

Matt

I have a 47 H that I am parting out. It has a 6 volt generator with voltage regulator that did work. I also have a coil off of thst tractor. If you are interested send me an e-mail.

I think the tractor may have come with either a cut out relay or a regulator. But more likely the cut out relay. However, if it were me, I would use a regulator because of the problem of keeping a proper charge on the battery with the cut out. Tendency is to either over or under charge with the cut out. You never know where you are and the regulator takes care of all that. If you want a cut out relay, I have one that I took off a tractor a month or so ago. It was working when I took it off and I will sell it. Also, I have a source for a reasonably priced regulator that will mount on the 6 volt generator. If interested in either the cutout or the regulator source, send me an E mail. As to the original style coil, they have not been available except used, but I recently saw an ad in Red Power Magazine that OEM now has the original style coil. It's a new item.
