If your getting hydraulic oil in the crankcase then the seals in the pump are blown. I'm not sure if parts are available, or where you can get them either.

To remove the pump there should be 4 bolts into the timing cover. Be sure to crank the engine over to compression stroke on #1 cylinder - a couple of ways to do it. Take out #1 spark plug and crank over until air comes out, then align the notch on the crank pulley with the pointer on the cover. OR you can just take of the distributor cap and turn until the rotor lines up with #1 spark plug wire. Be sure to put it back together the same way.

A shop manual will help, either the IH version or the I&T have some helpful hints.

Might I make a suggestion for you loader, a PTO driven pump. Of course it won't be live, but will develop better GPM and pressure. Check out northerntool.com for PTO pumps. We have good luck with them on our tractors.

Wait a minute, does the M&W pump bolt to the timing cover or to the distributor drive spacer? Are there 2 or 4 bolts holding the pump on? I've seen pumps that go where the distributor was and then the dist bolts on behind the pump. Either way, there is nothing internal to hold the pump on, just the bolts.

As for using the PTO with PTO pump in place, my machine shop makes a stub shaft that goes into the back of the pump and expands to give you a PTO with the pump in place, we use one on our 1256 to run the feed wagon every day. Costs $32.
