I need a tool to remove the impulse coulping from a magneto. Does anyone have one for sale, or plans to build one? I can get a machine shop to make me one. Thanks.

Yeah, I had the same problem so I made one out of a 5/8" grade 2 bolt. Turns out that those internal threads are are 9/16 - 24 which is found in the Unified Extra Fine Thread Series (UNEF/UNREF). The first one I made used a 3/8 - 16 (coarse) bolt to push on the shaft. I was fortunate that the impulse pawl plate came loose easily. The second one I made had 3/8 fine threads in it. I haven't made a drawing of it but can email a jpeg of the puller if you wish.
