Anyone ever ran a Behlem 500 batch drier with a Super M

Just wondered if a Super M Farmall is powerfull enough to run the fan on a Behlem 500 bushel batch drier? I hooked it up one day a couple of years ago and it seemed to get tired after a while. I didn't have corn in the dryer. A neighbor told me yesterday that an empty drier will pull harder than a full drier. Something about the static pressure in the drier when it is full of corn. Any ideas on these two questions? Thanks

Andy , we use a 4020 John Deere diesel, tried a Super MTA at first , but switched over and I can't remember why ,guess it wasn't enough horsepower, but if a guy would stay at the dryer (hard to do for me) You could keep an eye on it if anything goes haywire, what are your intentions? got any other tractors?

I use a MD and didn't have any trouble. But I remember Dad's M gas would not pull the drier with out getting hot.

I have a Case 2290 but hate to put it on the dryer. The operators manual for the dryer says any 3 to 4 bottom plow tractor should work. The owner of the dryer before me used a John Deere 4320. I think the fan blades are cranked to a pretty steep pitch. I tried the super M once when the dryer was empty. Seem to run it ok for a while and then got hot and didn't want to run right. A neighbor told me that an empty dryer pulls harder than a filled dryer. I should try the dryer with the "M" when it is full. I will probably run it with a IH 706 which I am overhauling now. Thanks
