I split the B today. It would appear that I need to resurface the clutch, get a new throwout bearing and pilot bushing. Can someone give me rough guess of how many dollars I'm about to spend? Is there anything else I need to check on while the tractor is apart? Thanks.

You should check the condition of the face of the flywheel, and the starting ring for wear.

I would replace the pressure plate too, it won't cost you that much more to do it now while the tractor is split. There is a "Farmall A Clutch Kit" listed for sale in the auction area on this site.

This kit will fit the Models A - SA - B - and BN.

I belive that the high bid as of now is $45.00.

I don't think that the pilot bearing is included in this kit, but you should be able to buy one from your local NAPA store, or parts supplier.

The link to the auction is below

Also there is a guy selling NEW clutch kits on ebay, his price for this kit is $129.00 plus shipping.

He has a ton of parts listed for Farmalls.

You can check his other auctions, he has the clutch disk only listed too should you choose not to replace the pressure plate.

I have bought two different kits from him to date. One was for a Farmall A, and the other was for a Farmall H. I was very pleased with the prices compared to my local parts dealer (over 195.00)for either kit.

This guy does ask for nor want your old cores in exchange. My local NAPA store bought both sets of my old cores from me for $60.00.

His link is attached

Good Luck
