Since I have removed and replaced my fuel tank, i have a leak where the line enters the sediment bowl. I was going to stop and get new line and compression fittings on the way home from work, but I forgot to grab the pieces. What size is the copper line, and what size are the threads on the fittings?

Does the compression fitting screw INTO the sediment bowl, as it does on MANY of these old tractors? (IF the setup is still "as original"?

If so, you need 5/16" steel line and the part number for the fitting is in the post linked below:

If you go to your local Case/IH dealer they can look up the correct size gas line and fittings.
I would think it would be 1/4" or 5/16" tubing.
Is it a copper or steel gas line? Hal

Yes it does, screw into the sediment bowl. I want to replace that also, as it has been rounded off by previous attempts at leak prevention. I don't think there are any splits in the bowl assembly though. Th gas seems to follow the line straight to the lowest point and drip, with no wet spots anywhere around or under the bowl.
