Case-IH won't have the parts to convert it to a Hi-Utility. The front spindles are longer. You will have to use the rear end from the TA back from a 300 row crop, or change some or all the gears in the transmission/differential. The 38 inch rears and axles are the same as the row crop. If you don't change the gearing, the ground speeds will be faster. If it has fast hitch, some of those parts are different too. Many other parts are different, also. I don't think what you want to do is practical, but that is up to you. I have a 460 Hi Utility, and have had it completely disassembled. The parts book indicates numerous differences from the regular utility, I imagine the 300 is similar. By the way, IH did not make a 300 Hi Utility, they did make a 350 Hi Utility.
