I lost high in my range transmission last summer and finally found time and got the nerve to tear into it today. All my linkage from the top down is really good. Thank god so are the gears and the shift collar. The shift fork is burnt up on the high side and the roller on top of the shift fork is complete and working but is cracked up to the point that it will fall apart soon. I of course have a question. Is there any reason I can't just build the shifter fork up or is this something that is frowned upon. What does a new one usually run? I have to get the roller anyway.
