There is one in Avoca, Iowa, just off I-80. I have not been to it, and I believe it may be open by appointment only except for special dates when they are open. There is another one in Griswold, Iowa, located in an original IH dealership. Also located in Griswold is a very nice Allis-Chalmers museum, as well as a Ford museum. I belive all of these are also open by appointment only.

Levi: Come back and tell us where you live or regularly travel. I can tell you about one just outside Toronto Canada, however if you live south of the Mason-Dixon line it's unlikely you'd be interested. It's at Milton Ontario, much the same format as the one David speaks of in IA. At Milton it's a farmstead setting with each major manufacturer of 50 years ago having a pavilion.

Depending on your approach to the area, directions will vary.

I know the Mt. Pleasent tractor Museum ( Which is open regulary) has a relativly good size portion of one building designated to the history of the International Harvestor Company. They do this with all Major brands. It is the largest IH "museum" I've ever seen. I Have also been looking for a IH Museum. tell the board if you find a good one =) -David Goode Coggon, IA
