Lift-All Malfunction

I started old Speedy today to grade the lane. After all the ice, snow & rain this winter, it was getting a lot of pot holes. I had left the grader blade up after the last snow plowing, so the ice would melt off. Today, the three point hitch let the blade down, but it wouldnt raise. The lift-all pump has worked perfectly for two years, never lost a drop of oil yet, and is still full. I'm assuming the relief valve is stuck because I can hear a different sound when I move the lever to raise. Anyone know any tricks to un-stick a valve in a lift-all, short of the hard way. (51 Farmall H, by the way) TIA ken

If it is down all the way (or block it up if not) then lower the control lever to the pressure off position. Then remove the output hose and run it into a clean bucket. If oil flows freely for a second or two, plug the end of the hose and dead head the oil. Then try it for 3 seconds. It should bog the tractor. If not, maybe the drive coupling is broken, or a drive key. JimN
