I trying to locate a a rear frame cover gasket for a 1941 Farmall M. I'm also looking for a PTO shaft seal and housing gasket.

Anyone know where I could locate any of these items?

Currently restoring a 1945M and just installed a gasket for the top transmision cover. Ordered the gasket from local Case/IH dealer and all bolt holes / dowel pins matched.

I have bought several over the years and had no problem with fit. Myself I don't smear that goo on anything, but to each his own.

So where are you getting them that they are right. Last time I tried to get one was 3 years gao for an H. The size was near right, but the bolt holes were way off. The last two I got for an M wasnt even cut right, not to mention the bolt holes being off. I thought it was for the wrong tractor until I got the replacement and it was just as bad. These came from my local Case/Ih dealer in Case/IH packaging.

John I get mine from IH dealor also, but I haven't had any problems with them so far. I need one now I will post my findings after I install the next one. Maybe none of them are right nowadays. I haven't got one in 6 or 7 years.

I wouldnt waste the money on a tranny top gasket, I have got them from Case IH before for Ms and Hs and they are never cut right. I just load it up with gasket sealer and set the top on and bolt it down.I havent had one leak yet.

Try your local CaseIH dealer. If you don't have one, try Carter and Gruenwald in Wisconsin. Their website is>Link
