I am looking for a 10-20 that has a running engine. I have
an old Galion Motor Grader that has a McCormick Deering engine
in it. After looking the serial number up, I found it is a 1929
10-20 engine. It is froze up, and the manifold is obliterated. Any information would be helpful. I live in SE Nebraska.
Thanks

Dear Judd: Just I have been looking for information in the web, on old Galion motor graders; thus, I read your letter from 04/19/99. Recently I found a small, old Galion motor grader without engine, with tyres 8.25 -20. Some people said that this machine was a four cilynder engine made by Perkins U.K. I have none information about this grader. The serial number is 503-GK2626. Please, do you know where could I request more about it?
Thank you very much in advance. Yours, Miguel

Judd, I'm working on the same thing except I can't tell if the grader is a Galion. I also have a rusted engine, pistons are free but having problems with stuck tappets and broken tappet guides. Got the engine all apart now but still trying to get the broken guides out.Am thinking it would be better just to find a running engine. If you find two let me know. Mine is a 1928 10 20 according to the serial number. A good guy in Canada did offer me tappets and tubes off a W30 which evidently are the same so I'm going to try and save it while I also look for an engine. Does yours have a right angle crank setup? Mine does but it is only half there. I'd like to know what is missing. Good luck with your project. RON
