Does any one have a water pump for a continental 162 engine or know where to get a pump or rebuild kit?

Many here and on other forums have spoken very highly of Gerrad Moon at montes eqpmt in Chicago (gerradmoon@montes@flash.net or montesequipment.com for old/obsolete Continental parts.
Other sources mentioned were foleyengines.com and continentalengines.com, but haven"t seen any feedback on them, and have no personal experience.
Various water pump rebuilders show up on Google; you might try the "parts and services" threads at aths.org, where the guys post suppliers of hard to find parts and rebuilders. Good luck.

I don't know about that pump, but with many pumps, you can make up a kit yourself. If bearings are 203 or 204 and seal is a standard rotary water pump type, can get them at an industrial bearing supplier. If it doesn't use a ceramic seat insert, then will have to have some machining done. Some pumps use a sealed bearing/shaft assembly. can order those too. I have never found a good place to get the old style 3 finger carbon seals.
The easiest way is to find a good family owned auto supply that has a place they send old pumps to get them rebuilt.
