I'm looking at a dump truck with an L10 Cummins. It starts easily and has no smoke when running or accelerating. It seems to run pretty good and everything works. It's in an 86 Ford 9000 for $8000. Sound like a good deal? All the other trucks I've looked at were older and more money. I'd mostly just be using on my land to haul clay, loam and maybe some sand from my neighbors place. What do you truck experts think? Thanks. Dave

L10 Cummins are great motors. Very fuel efficient. That year model should be a non-electronic motor. 270 to 300 hp.The only problems were the injector coppers in the head would leak if engine got way too hot.
