I owned a 1970 model 350 Case about 15 years ago. Good little machine if you are doing light work and small jobs. Not good for pushing over large trees or digging out well roote stumps.

Make sure you get one with good undercarriage or get one at a price where you can afford to put good undercarriage on it.

I also recommend a 6-way blade.

As others have said, these are relatively easy and inexpensive to work on.

Good luck

Paul I know someone with lots of knowledge of these machines. He sells new&used parts for them too. If you'd like, I can send you his link in an email.

I recently bought a 1974 350 Case and I really like the machine. It seems like a good solid dozer and works real well. You'll find the machine is not really big enough for removing big trees and stumps, but so far I've dug a pond, resurfaced my driveway and started opening up my old logging road. I've had no mechanical problems, although I have discovered that I can lay down the tracks and reinstall myself (bent rock guard got into my track). Try to make sure the machine is tight, runs good and still has some life left in the undercarriage. I'm new to the Dozer thing so I'm sure someone can step in and tell you some more particulars. Oh by the way I paid $10500.00 for mine, prices could be less where you are but here in ne PA 350 size dozers are in big demand in logging and quarry work. I will say that they also had a 350 deere where I bought mine for the same price. The Deere only had a four way blade and was hammered, the engine rattled quite a bit, I got a lot nicer machine for the same money.

I like my little Case dozer. I researched hard
to decide on a machine of this vintage with good
parts availability. I wanted something light-
weight enough to pull with a 3/4 ton truck. And
the steering brakes are much simpler and less
costly if things go bad. Mine already had the
sprokets replaced with Berco and some other undercarriage parts. I know a guy who used dozers
daily. He had a couple of JDs and then bought a
Case. When I asked him why he changed, he said the
Case is easier to work on. I paid $8250. for mine
here is Michigan. Let me know if you need any other info.

I've got a '68 Case 310G which is almost identical to the early 350s. I found that the machine is very easy to work on with no specialty tools required. I replaced the undercarriage and found all parts easily available and bought most of them through the local CASE INDUSTRIAL dealer. In most cases, dealer price was almost identical to other aftermarket prices. I really wanted to buy a CAT but in addition to a much higher price, all of the CATs I looked at needed work and that required specialty tools which I didn't have. The other option was to have a CAT dealer do most of the work at $90 an hour(probably higher now). Granted, the resale is always higher for a CAT machine but I just couldn't justify spending that kind of $ for a hobby machine.

Thanks to all for the info. I appreciate it.
I will be using it mostly for ripping out palmettos,(Scurge of Florida) and hopefully digging a pond.
The Case I was looking at is already sold, so if anyone knows of another one in the south East, let me know.
Thanks
Paul
