I have 2 of these, but know nothing of the company. If anyone has any info, please help me. Dont know the years they were made, but they have metal tracks like a dozer and cages for protection.

The Ferret tractor was made by Arnold MFG company, Pengilly MN. The company was sold and moved to Amboy MN. The name was changed to Otter Tractor and produced untill the mid-90's. My neighbor has all the tooling and some parts. Some parts he can make like tracks, grousers, final drive housings. Other parts he has new, Bearings, transmissions, clutches. It is very hard to get parts for the old ranger and ferret, although we reconditioned one this last summer. Give me a call and I will be happy to assist in finding or making parts. 507-317-0500

I have a couple of the Ferret tractors, one has the chain drive in the final drives. The other is about an 1980 model w/ twin cylinder eng and electric start, also has a hydralic blade
and is a really nice machine.
I was wondering what the market is for these used Ferret"s
Any information on the place if we need any parts?

I am looking for some trasmission parts or a transmission for my 1977 Ferret. It's a 3 speed with reverse.

Hi, Toni. There is a listing in snowfield maintenance contracts, 2002-2003, for tenders for small crawlers to pull snow trimmers. One of the crawlers that they list as an example of what might be considered suitable in the relevant class is the Arnold Ferret. I have been able to find no futher info but suggest that an enquiry at Yahoo.com's Tracklaying Garden Tractors group may surface something. You will have to register to post but it's free. See the link below.

I am also going to post a photo of a Ferret in the Tractor Photos section here . I'd be interested to hear if it is the same as or similar to yours.

Hope this helps.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
