I have a 1969 1030. when i pull my box scraper behind the tractor, i can raise it, but as soon as i let off the lever, the scraper starts sinking back down. What is wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the cylinder is fine. I have switched the hoses around every which way and it still does it.

Sounds like the cylinder is leaking internally if you switched the hoses around and had the same problem.

1) Hyd cyl OK? 2) Swap hoses to other couplers and try.OK? 3) Swap hoses side by side(control lever will work opposite... push ahead to raise)OK? Could be a problem in thermal relief valves, or large check balls in center of remote valve housing.
