Working on the lights, wrong bulbs are in it for one thing. I'd like to trace the wiring out from the light switch and don't have a diagram in the owner's manual. Email is open if you prefer to send that way. Thanks for any help!

Pat

Go to CNH.com and open the online parts manual for the 1570; the diagram is there.

Sometimes it's wiring for other lights in reply to Pat T, 05-03-2008 13:41:20
I found on my tractor that I had a lot of junk wires running threw it. Seem there must have been extra lights in rear and maybe on front to. Plus one of them wires run to my coil and had cracks all in it. That one got changed. Take you a light tester and turn on lights and see if anything hot. Then turn on key and see what is hot. Just don't cut a ground wire. Usually black unless some ole boy run out of black wire and used another color. lol

Thanks for the ideas, Larry. I ended up removing the hi- beam circuit to both headlights because the lamps in there didn't have the dual-filament connections. New grounds had to be added to the headlights, the originals were rusted away. Cleared a lot of "barnyard engineering" type wiring out. The light switch seemed to work better as I kept using it, must have been cleaning the contacts as I was rotating the knob while working on it. There's still some butchery going on under the cab on the left side I can't figure out without a diagram, but all lights and gauges are working now.
I appreciate your reply.

There may not be a diagram around. So if you don't find one. Just go to the head lights and back track the wire. There will be only one hot wire from the head lights to the switch. Take switch and see if you have a hot wire running to one post on it. Then when you turn that switch on. Another post should become hot and this is the post to run to lights. However if you have hot wire to the switch and pull or turn it on and you get no other post hot. Then the switch is bad and replace it. Many of us put in a new light switch with a hot wire going to it. Then run a new wire out to headlights. Easy to do and if the old wire on tractor lights had a short in it. You have now then replaced it with new. If you need a light switch and not sure about getting on. Go to your local auto parts dealer and ask for one for a 69 ford pickup. Easy pull out and easy to install. Hope this helps you. Have a good day. :)
