My tach works but jumps around a lot. At full throttle it acts like it "catches" and then it pegs out and falls back constantly.
I"m afraid its going to bust the needle off or ruin the internal parts. I don"t know how these things work so I"m wondering if the problem would be in the guage, the cable or the drive?

I would clean the cable first and lube it with a speedometer cable lube.If that does not do it lube the Guage with a lite oil such as tranny oil or mmo.You may have to take the thing out to invert it to get the lube where you need it. CENTAUR
