Are the detents the same on the two tractors and if so how and where are they in the tower.On a old post it said hard if not impossable to get.What is so tough about it?Are there any tricks that help? Mark

Detents are the little half-moon cutouts in the rails- the shafts that the shifting forks are mounted on. When you take the tower apart- the springs and balls pop out of those detents! So be sitting on the floor of your shop- the pieces are easier to find!!!!! !!!!
