Thanks boys, and yes JMS these C`s are sweet, I got 3 runners one we got in 1950 I reworked it in 1963 and it is still running good. I put a D-15 motor in one and use the power steering pump for live hydraulics.

the original DELCO alternator was the 10SI built f rom 1975 to abou t1995. after that GM built the CS130. look for any GM, pontiac, chevy built about 2000 or so. they are abou t75% the size of the old units.

Look at the alternator made in Japan that Chrysler used on some of the front wheel drive K cars.

C allis .. isn't that one of them thar potency meds?

In any case.. Hitachi makes some small alts. Might also look into what the NH tractors are using.. or even chinese.. I;'ve seen both with alts the size of softballs... I'm sur ethe NH alt costs about as much as a small tropical island.. the chinese alternator ( contact a jinma / farm pro dealer.. might try TBN website ).. probably only costs a few bucks... I know a few guys with chinese jinma tractors.. when they ordered them, they ordered an extra alt, starter, hyd pump, and glow plugs.. got them for less than 100$ al together extra on the order... ( now thats a deal!.. even if it does run on rice! )

You're right- C Allis is just a sweet little honey to have. If that doesn't work- nothing will. Regarding alternators- my Gehl skidloader has a Kubota engine with Nippendenso alternator- small but $350 spendy. But other car units from the J.A.Pan company are easy to find and much cheaper.

Yep.. I agree. The alt on my NH tractor is a shibaru? I think.. a very small unit, again.. same as the hitachi.. all JAP units... and the jima is chinese.. so it is asain anyway.
