Can a block be welded or is it a boat ancor.How about the shifter it pulls out what is there to hold it in there.Thanks

A WD has only one square-ended pin, the WD45 has two- so don't look for two if there is only one slot in the shift lever.

If no pieces are missing it can be welded or stiched togather with small cast bolts. When finished can't tell where the crack was at, either way will be slow work.

There should be a snap ring in the top of the tower to hold that wayward lever in place. When it comes out be careful not to loose the two keys down into the tranny! A new boot is a good investment to keep water out. Ed
