I have a 1952 wd allis chalmers tractor and was wondering if I could put a 55 to 65 hp Gleaner combine engine in my tractor? Please help.

A Gleaner E is what your wanting. The 4cyl (226) motor will go right in any WC - 175 with very min changes. Models A with 230 & whatever had the 262 motors(6cyl)makes a cool WD45.Just look at pic, it is a great lookin job!!!! Eddie

Here's the picture you are looking for. But like was said already, why not just build up the WD or install a D-17 motor?

As the saying goes, with a big enough hammer you can do about anything. So sure you can put a gleaner engine in, which one were you thinking of? It might be easier to just build up the WD engine to the hp you want, or even better swap in a WD-45 block and build it up a little. That would not require any work to the sheet metal or the accessories. Something to think about at least.
