I have a E-Gleaner with 185 lbs.of comp. I was told 145 was stock. What do you think was done to it to give it 185 lbs. THANKS FOR ANY HELP> 1MORGAN

If the engine is still in the combine, I would guess the piston highth was increased. If some one has put the engine in a pulling tractor it could have a longer stroke. Could be a little of both. I wouldn"t think anyone would stroke a combine. To increase the compression in a cylinder or stated another way, raise the pressure in a cylinder, you have to put the volume of air in the cylinder when the piston is at the bottom of the stroke and both valves closed in a smaller area when the piston gets to the top of the stroke.
