With the part numbers provided by Brian, NAPA can order the joint. I see a lot of requests for parts in this forum that should be able to be handled at the local auto parts store. In a lot of cases, even if no application can be found, the part can be matched up by dimension. People need to find a store that kept the old books when the computerized systems came in, and at least one counter person who is willing to put in a little effort.

I bought one in '01 at NAPA; Precision #861. Cost me $7.99 plus tax back then. It has longer journals and caps than original (should wear longer) but fits perfectly. The A-C part # is 224890. Here are some more numbers: NEAPCO #1-1475 and TRW #2001.

' doesn't seem like your NAPA dealer is really trying!! We have some good guys working in our local NAPA store. Have you got an AGCO dealer nearby? If not, try another auto parts store, they should certainly be able to cross reference at least one of those numbers I gave you. You could also try a place that specializes in dump trucks; these u-joints are used a lot to connect the hydraulic pumps to the PTOs on trucks. These little u-joints are a common item, albeit there are lots of variations just like in the bigger u-joints. Good luck, Brian G.

Hmmm...had posted this twice before, and nothing shows up when I go back to the forum ??

Had a heck of a time getting a U-joint for D17.
Checked with all the obvious sources and even got in contact with a NEAPCO distributor.
No luck...didnt even find a cross or the needle cups.

Finally bought one form Valu-Bu1lt for $44 !

It fits but does NOT look like an original.

As the boss used to say "whatever the market will bear"

I now see why the other attempts at posting didnt work.
I had spelled Valu-Bu1lt correctly and it deleted the post.
