OK guys, here is the treactor in question. This thing is MASSIVE and has a Thompson front end on it which I'm told is rare and supposedly 1 of 4 ever made. The engine is a GM diesel, anyone seen or heard of these????? ???? :?

Now this ol'boy has a gas and diesel MV, about 5 HV's, a few AC high crops which are similar in size to the above one except have big inverted V front axles and different motors, various other Case and International HiCrops, and other junk.

See below for more pics.

Here is a shot of one of the Farmall HV's but if you look to the left you will see the radiator of one of the AC HiCrops with the big V high clearance front end.

I think I will get the above weird Thompson AC, a diesel MV, a HV, and one of the other HiCrop AC's.

Best part is all for $400-$500 per tractor 8)

The only thing that looks like my UC is the transmission shifter. Mine has no electrics except the magneto. There is no place to put a starter or generator or battery. And the seat and steering wheel are much farther back.

Thanks for the pics. To me finding an old tractor graveyard is more exciting than going to a show with all the shiny paint jobs!

Thompson bought components of the UC from Allis and engine from GM and other parts from whoever else and then assembled the tractor at their factory. I believe Allis supplied Thompson with UC components well into the 1960's.

I think the tractor you are looking at is a UC. Its larger than a WC. More rear iron. Bob

Sweet! So this is a legit AC converted tractor. Thanks a bunch guys!

So is it worth restoring or is it one of those things better left where it is.

This Tractor at first look smells of early WC with a lot of Homemade and Conversion features added. I wonder for what purpose? JC

I think Thomson liked the GM engine. This one was made into a sugarcane loader

Thompson took the base tractors and made many changes to suit their purpose
