Hi Pat. The sleeves are all nice and smooth, and I did have the heads checked for cracks and they were okay. When I took the valvecovers off, there were som black "build-up" around some of the valve- springs so maybee some of that could have caused a plug so the pressure-buildup in the crank could not escape.At least that is what I hope. Jens.
