These 990`s are no problem to replace a clutch on. Under 2 hours if you have no cab or loader .Done these when i was 16 and still at school.Take off the bonnet and disconnect the battery,Put two wooden blocks in the front axle
Disconnect the two fuel lines from the tank ,take the 3 bolts out of the starter and the bolt on the opposite side at the oil filter.Theres two long bolts under the fuel tank undo these but don`t take them out.Disconnect the steering drag link at the balljoint and disconnect the throttle and cutoff rods at the injection pump.Undo the wiring loom connection under the fuel tank. There are 4 nut /bolts underneath to remove and with jacks in place on a concrete floor level them up with the trolley jack at the front take out the last 6 bolts , 3 each side at the front of the footplates on the side of the chassis. Oh and dont forget to disconnect the tacho drive cable in front of the starter.You should now be able to wheel the front half forward taking care not to bend the throttle rods, Ease up the 3 levers on the pressure plate and put a 3/4 unc nut under each one You can now remove the ring of bolts round the fly wheel . This should take no more than 1hr. The transmission plate is the first one out then a seperater plate and the pto drive plate there are 3 small springs round the fly wheel so don`t lose these as youwill need them later. Parts are easily obtained here in the UK as its a Borg & Beck clutch. On reassembly its often easier to leave the ring of bolts round the flywheel just tight enough to hold the plates in position once you have lined them up , as this allows the plates to move sligtly when jioning the 2 halves back together . the fly wheel bolts can be got at through the chassis opening latter when you set the clutch.
