'48 D Resto parts and advice

It's official! I talked my dad into restoring our 1948 D. My grandfather bought it new in Stillwater, OK and I rode that thing for hours-on-end as a kid. The engine runs, but the tin on the fenders is pretty bad and the brakes are non-existent. We're not out to make a show tractor, just looking to get it into good running condition for light duty around the barnyard and drive in parades. She's a piece of the family heritage and deserves some attention. We'll be tearing into it over the winter and will need any help you guys can give...parts, parts contacts, things to watch out for, etc. I hope to take pics and keep a journal, stay in touch... Thanks
