No Tom, these were completely horizontal, having no contact with the 3rd point. They were a simple device wih a strong drawbar with a strong pin on each end to go in the eagle claws. The right side had an arm that went forward along the lift arm for about ten inches, ending in a U shaped open bracket which fomed its U shape around the right lift arm to prevent the drawbar from spinning on its two large end pins.
