cnt, I thank you As I stated in the first post the service manual does not address any thing that I saw as a possible problem. I searched the archives and saw that some just work on the top half, and some one sent me an email that said they repaired theirs on an 870 and it started leaking soon after and they were told by Case mechanics to get a good one from the salvage yard. I had a 1370 years ago and the valve caused the brakes on one side to apply without the pedal being mashed, I was row cropping at the time and took valve to the Case dealer and had it repaired no problems. We just do hay and cows now and we try to do as much as we can ourselves. Thanks again, cnj152
