Just courious, why did you folks pull the whole deck and fenders off, just to replace the axle?? we replaced perhaps a half dozen broken axles in 30 and 70 series tractors. Two of them we did in the field with the aid of a FEL on another tractor, and hyd jacks and a sheet of plywood. It was as easy as trying to get the tractor out of the field and on the rollback, and back to the shop to replace it and then have to truck it back to the farm. Loren
