Got the old SC in the shop today. Pulled the plug on the engine oil, no water, but no oil either. Stuck a screwdriver up the hole and found sludge about the same viscosity as gun grease. After some prodding around finally struck oil. It was black as coal and thick as molasses. Then pulled the plug on the clutch housing. It was just as bad or worse. Went around to the other side and pulled the screen out of the pan and took the inspection plate off of the clutch housing send started washing. Got the pan fairly clean but the clutch housing is caked with oil, dirt, clutch, etc. So got some cleaning to do yet.Hope I get to pull the plug on the trans/rear end tomorrow. I see only one plug for that and then another for the PTO lift. Here's a picture of it in the shop.
