This tractor was revealed to us during the"Dealer/ Customer" intro. to the "All new Maxxum Tractor", in Guelph, Ont. Canada.
INCase hit the nail on the head about it's purpose. CASE-IH was working with the University Of Guelph, to determin field productivity, with all the "load sensors within the tractor and attached implements" that INCase refered to. Case already had "ground radar" in place to measure wheel slippage, and optomize production. The 7110 had early forms of satilite telementry and global positioning that is now commom day tech. on todays farms. The deep ripper was not only used to determin field efficiency, but also soil managment issues.

When CASE-IH introduced the MAXXUM tractors, they invited us as dealers to bring our customers to Guelph and get "hands on" experience with the MAXXUM tractors, and MAGNUMS in a staged setting. We and a neighboring dealer rented a tour bus and took our customers to the MAXXUM INTRO. Here are some pics.
Sorry for gaps in the Lit. that was handed out, Form #AD-60519F. It didn't fit in my scanner well. The Pics., I took while there.
Loren
