Surgeing on the 201 & 226 engines is usually caused by either a sticky throttle shaft or the govornor rod out of adjustment. The hole in the govornor rod for a surge spring was used only on the B&C 125 engines.THe length of the govornor rod is importment. To check with the engine not running pull the throttle lever wide open and then disconnect the rod from the throttle shaft. Then hold the throttle shaft wide open .There should be about 1/8 of an inch movement on the rod to make it go into the throttle shaft.Adjust this rods length to get this diminson.
