The oil pump is at the rear of the camshaft. If you follow the lines from the filter and head they both come to a tee at the bellhousing which is screwed into the oil pump. The pump is driven by a pin in the rear of the cam and if it is sheared you must split the tractor to repair it. Most likely it has lost its prime and you can get it pumping by removing the lines and squirting some oil into the fitting and letting it run down into the pump.I would suggest that you remove the plugs and spin it over to get some oil moving before you start it again. If you continue to have trouble with it losing its prime the pump may be worn out,the gasket inbetween it and the block may be bad, or the pick up tube and strainer may be loose or cracked.
