Last winter I had a leak in the high pressure side of the hydraulic line that goes from the pump on the front of the tractor to the controls under the seat. My brazing skills were not good enough to fix it. But, I was able to have a 2 foot hose made with compression fitting on each end. Cut the steel tube and the hose works without any leaks.
But, now the power steering does not work. The same pump provides the grunt for the power steering. The transmission, hydraulic oil is all in one. I had removed one line to the power steering cylinder on the left side of the tractor when I was loosening up the front end loader to get better access to the hydraulic line.
Any hints on how to fix? I did loosen a fitting on the power steering cylinder and it seemed to help a bit. Just keep at it? Drive around in figure eights to work out any air bubbles?
Thanks
Ken
P.S. to those who responded to my earlier post. It was a 12 mm diameter steel line.
