I have had a 185 used to use in tobacco and ran 535 JD haybaler with it, never had any problems at all. If you use it for the tractor it is, I know a guy down the road turned his up and slapped duels on it to pull a 20' disc, he is still running that 185 but if the rear end was to go out that would be why, the engine is the same block as several larger HP models so you have the potential to crank them up for more than they were built for.
