I just bought my first 1947 WC project tractor with battery ignition. Its not running. It has 60-70 lbs compression on all four cylinders. The PO showed me that it had spark with a good battery that was not included with the sale. Rather than buy a 6 volt battery, I prefer to convert to 12 volt using a good Delco alternator and 12 volt battery I already own.I've looked through the archives for a wiring diagram but did not find one. Can someone send me a comprehensive wiring diagram.(3 wire conversion) Other than replacing the coil, are there other components that need to be upgraded too. I also need a muffler. Is the OEM style under hood type available anywhere? How interchangeable are the carburators, between WC and WD, Zenith and Marvel Schebler. Any alterations required? Thanks for your help.
