I don't recall anything other than the cable coming off a drive on the back of the alternator. I think there's a speedometer cable out there that would work. Problem is they're a thing of the past too, so nobody stocks them. The tach drives in smaller older airplanes were basically the same set up. I've seen in catalogs where they will make them to order. All that to say that I think you have options, even if you can't get anywhere with AGCO.
